Activity #1 - Come Sing in Los Angeles

CHOIR REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

Anyone can join: no requirement to be a Rotarian or IFRM member!

We already have 70 IFRM sign-ups for the World Choir (from Salt Lake City Convention)...most of those already are registered and have their hotel in L.A.

Rotary International President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson has officially invited the International Fellowship of Rotarian Musicians to organize a choir and to serve at the 2008 Los Angeles Convention Interfaith Service.

THE ROTARY WORLD CHOIR has performed before at numerous Rotary International Conventions including Barcelona, Brisbane, Osaka, Chicago and Copenhagen. Past IFRM Chairperson, PDG Chungsam Doh will direct the Choir.

Singing in the Rotary World Choir will be one of the highlights of your convention experiences. You will be moved and inspired, as much as the audience will, by your beautiful music making. Choir seats are limited to 200 and they will be reserved first-come first-serve basis. We invite Rotarians, their partners, family members and friends to join the Choir and

We expect the LA 2008 RI Convention to be the largest ever and the Choir Registration will be accepted first come first serve basis, and the registration will be closed after 200 singers.

Activity #2 - Call to all IFRM Musicians

Dear fellow IFRM members,

Preparation for the 99th Annual Rotary International Convention is well under way. As you know Los Angeles, California, USA is the destination and June 15^th-18^th, 2008 is the date. This year, we invite you to "See the Stars” and share the spotlight with fellow Rotarians in the entertainment capital of the world

There is a special opportunity for IFRM members to perform at various times and places throughout the convention. How exciting to think that we can be a part of what may be one of Rotary's largest conventions ever!

If you would like to participate, we must hear from you right away! We have spots for 15-20 acts. Please tell us about your musical skills. Are you a singer, instrumentalist or in a Rotary musical group? Do you have an audio or video recording that we can see in advance? We would also like a bio that tells us about your musical experience and expertise. Finally, have you registered for the convention AND are you up-to-date with your IFRM dues? Registration and IFRM membership in advance are essential.
